September 2026 Korean Beauty Signals for Product Development

Korean data repeatedly points to products with a clear problem and routine step. Brands should interpret the customer need behind a ranking rather than copy the ranked product.

Where did these signals come from?

Platform search data and e-commerce rising-search lists showed movement in serums, foaming cleansers, shampoos, and barrier products.

These sources do not equal total-market sales. Use them as current planning signals shaped by audience and promotion exposure.

1. Customers search for ingredients and outcomes

An ingredient alone does not determine the experience. Connect it to a concern, routine step, format, and frequency of use.

2. Translate barrier care into sensory design

A daily lotion, targeted cream, and pre-makeup moisturizer require different viscosity, absorption, and finish.

3. Evaluate cleansing and after-feel together

Define foam type, cleansing target, post-wash tightness, fragrance, and dispensing method.

4. Treat scalp and hair as their own category

Rework cleansing frequency, hair type, rinsing, fragrance retention, classification, and claim evidence for the real use environment.

5. Turn rankings into better questions

Search signals are only a starting point.

  • Do our customers repeat the same concern?
  • Does the product fit an existing routine?
  • Can the formula and pack meet the target price and MOQ?
  • Why would customers repurchase after a promotion?
