Why does jelly texture perform well in content?
Movement, shine, and translucency are easy to communicate in short-form video, and hybrid gel formats are appearing across categories.
A strong visual first impression is not enough; the product must remain easy and worthwhile to use repeatedly.
1. Test the texture in the pack and on skin
A formula may look bouncy in its container yet pill or drag on skin. Evaluate it with the actual applicator customers will use.
2. Tune the structure to the category
Lip and blush need color payoff, while cleansers and creams depend on cleansing or absorption. Texture must serve the product function.
3. Monitor temperature and time
Check shape, color, scent, and separation during temperature shifts and long-term storage.
4. Consider hygiene for open jars
Wide-mouth jars showcase texture but require a deliberate approach to repeated use, dispensing, and dosage.
5. Build content moments into the brief
The product can create distinct moments before and during application. Those scenes should reflect the real instructions rather than exist only for a shoot.
